Did you know that your tongue is made up not just one muscle but many groups of muscles? Your tongue has many jobs-you need it to chew food, swallow, sing, talk, and taste things. It is really an important part of our bodies. Does it ever get to rest? No, it doesn't. Even when you are sleeping your tongue is working. It is pushing your saliva into your throat to be swallowed. Sounds like your tongue is a very busy part of your body.
